These nanocomposites, composed of plasmonic nanoparticle (NP) cores and metal-organic-framework (MOF) shells, will exploit nanoscale thermophoresis within living cells. The project involves fabricating a library of core-shell NP\/MOF nanocomposites and understanding molecule-nanocomposite interactions.
