Together with the Mascareñas group, we show that porphyrinic zirconium MOFs such as PCN-224 work as air- and water-compatible heterogeneous photocatalysts under red light, enabling Giese additions, C(sp2)-H alkylations and arylations, cycloadditions and radical polymerizations.
