MULTIFUNCTIONAL BIOMIMETIC NANOCARRIERS: ENGINEERING ARTIFICIAL BIO-INSPIRED NANOPLATFORMS WITH
TUNEABLE FEATURES (Proyecto PID2023-151448NB-I00 financiado por MCIN/ AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ y por FEDER Una manera de hacer Europa)
The BIOTUNE project aims to unravel specific protein motifs for cell recognition, interaction, and signaling, enabling control of nanomedicines for targeted delivery and specific responses. The proposal focuses on acquiring fundamental knowledge of interactions between nanomaterials and cell membranes to establish protocols for engineered bioinspired nanoformulations achieving endosomal escape without compromising safety and preserving specific targeting capabilities.
Therefore, the project will contribute to the advancement of precision nano-therapeutics and the development of reproducible targeted nanoformulations in drug delivery.
