Dr. Aitor Álvarez
FPU doctoral student (Supervisors: Pablo del Pino and Pablo Taboada), joined the Bionanotools group in 2018. He works on the preparation and characterization of hybrid nanosystems formed by plasmonic or magnetic nanoparticles encapsulated in ZIF-8.
He graduated in chemistry from the National University of Distance Studies (UNED) in 2016 with an end-of-career award from the UNED Social Council. Master of Chemical Science and Technology (2017) at the UNED, doing the TFM in the Colloidal Chemistry group of the University of Vigo, his work dealt with the preparation and characterization of a SERS substrate.
