Manuel graduated in Chemistry from Autonomous University of Nuevo León (2017) and he got a master’s degree in Materials Science from the Research Center of Advanced Materials (CIMAV-Monterrey) Mexico (2019) working with electrochemical synthesis of hierarchical nanostructures for Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) applications.  He completed his PhD thesis on the synthesis and characterisation of plasmonic-nanoMOFs composites as part of the HeatNMof project at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2024.
