The Royal Galician Academy of Sciences (RAGC) and the Universidad Intercontinental de la Empresa (UIE) have just approved the first edition of the RAGC-UIE Awards for Young Researchers. These awards have been created with the aim of promoting scientific research in Galicia, recognizing and promoting the careers of young people contributing to the promotion of scientific knowledge. Beatriz Pelaz, was awarded the prize in the Basic Sciences category for her work on developing nanomaterials to make medicines more effective.
