Members of the BNT group participated in the International Materials Research Congress 2025 (IMRC 2025), held in Cancún (Mexico) from 17–21 August 2025. During the conference, BNT researchers presented their latest advances in nanomaterials and nanomedicine: M. Ceballos: Protein stabilization through thermal protection and mesoporosity engineering in nano-hierarchical Zr-based MOFs; B. Pelaz: Smart nanocarriers by design; P. Del Pino: (1) Plasmonic gold@MOF nanohybrids for intracellular heating and sensing; (2) stimuli-responsive MOF nanodevices for targeted intracellular delivery; (3) biomimetic and functionalized nanocarriers for cytosolic delivery and targeted therapy. These works highlight the group’s ongoing efforts to develop advanced multifunctional nanoplatforms for biomedical applications.
