Clickable Polymer-Based Coatings for Modulating the Interaction of Metal–Organic Framework Nanocrystals with Living Cells published by Cedrún-Morales M. et al. in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
This work studies nanosized MOFs (NMOFs) coated with a universal, clickable amphiphilic polymer to enhance drug delivery potential. The polymer-coated NMOFs showed excellent stability and were functionalized with various biologically relevant molecules. Cellular uptake varied based on surface modifications. This study highlights a flexible bioorthogonal strategy for tailoring NMOF surface properties for targeted delivery. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsami.5c01695
