Beatriz Pelaz and her BioNanoTools group will study the biological behavior of various nanomaterials, particularly their ability to activate immune responses in 3D bio-printed models (models of healthy tissues and diseases). This will allow for correlating the physicochemical properties of different nanomaterials and evaluating their behavior in biological systems.
