Seeded-Growth of PCN-224 onto Plasmonic Nanoparticles: Photoactive Microporous Nanocarriers published by Ceballos M. et al. in Small Structures.
This study introduces a novel, room-temperature method for fabricating gold bipyramid-seeded MOF PCN-224 nanocomposites with controlled shell thickness. It demonstrates how seed concentration dictates nanocomposite yield and shell thickness, impacting their thermoplasmonic properties. Additionally, the study explores thermoplasmonic-induced intracellular drug release and the exceptional photodynamic capabilities of the nanocomposites. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/sstr.202300464
